Followed, of course, by my departurefrom my beloved homeland to the more friendly climate of my adopted home in Florida. It hasn't been dull. I have met and worked with wonderful people in wondrousplaces. I have been blessed with adventures to satisfy anyone, and I hope at least some of them will be remembered because they are recorded here. I am so grateful to the staunch friends who have tolerated my eccentricities andjoined in my adventures. I remember my families - both in England and in the States -with love and affection and I hope that at least for a while the book will serve toensure that I am not altogether forgotten.
