When Every Day Is A New Day is a wonderful tribute to Author Marlean Acker's mom who was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's. The journey she and her husband took with her mom as the disease progressed was hilarious, exhausting, and humbling. Acker's frankness and sense of gratitude (even amid tragedy) shines through and offers hope to anyone who has had to care for a loved one. While the primary message is for caregivers, this book encourages you to keep going, keep trying, and don't forget to give to yourself in the process.
