I was drawn to this at my bookstore; an eye catching cover, a local author, and a uniquely interesting premise made me pick it up, and I was not disappointed. The medieval world of The Five Duchies is incredibly well thought out and is clearly made with passion and finely crafted by the author. If you love detailed maps, hilariously named places and interesting characters, this is definitely one to check out.
