"Sit with author Joyce Anders Sproule as she immerses us in her childhood, and shows us what it was like for children to do chores, care for animals, tend a garden, go to school, play, and wonder about the world outside of the farm. The joys of dances, music, skating, and cloud-gazing -- as well as the dangers of close calls -- and the atmosphere of World War II are all remembered by the author and shared with today's reader."--Provided by publisher.

Autorenporträt
Joyce Anders Sproule was born and raised on the family farm on Jansen Lake in the RM of Leroy, Saskatchewan. Her artistic talents were discovered and celebrated in her youth, but it wasn't until she began creating these drawings and stories to share with her grandchildren that she rediscovered her love of art and storytelling. Her wish is that this book inspires other families to come together and share the important gifts of their own personal stories with each other. Joyce is interested in family history and genealogy, and is a grandmother to four amazing grandchildren. She lives in Warman, Saskatchewan.
