Mechell Medina is a recent graduate from SUNY Empire State College with a Bachelor's in Business, Management, Economics with concentration in marketing and has attended evening classes at the L.I.E.O.C. (Long Island Educational Opportunity Center) at SUNY Farmingdale College for Bookkeeping, Photoshop, and Color Graphic Design certifications. Her writing skills account for composing newsletters and memorandums for corporate meetings and has completed a course in writing with the Institute for Children's Literature. Born and raised in Brentwood, New York in Eastern Long Island, the divorced mother of two is uniquely qualified to tell this story as a survivor of domestic violence. Excited about this powerful literary work, this captivating story has a phenomenal message of empowerment for readers which conveys a sense of hope even in the most agonizing and abusive situations.
