Autorenporträt
I'm 74 years old and have found the joy of writing, the freedom of my expression, my imagination, can make people smile. I was married once to a woman who bore me three beautiful daughters. They have succeeded far beyond my abilities. Each one a success in their own right. My second wife is my success in making the right decision the second time. I spent 30 years with the US Postal Service and before that, 18 months on an Army base in Viet Nam. I learned not to volunteer when the odds are against you. I left a piece of me behind in country. Now I pay everyday for it, but find the endurance to see the end of each day having completed something. Sitting On a Headstone, my first book, chronicled those 18 months in graphic detail. The man who said 'War is Hell', was not kidding.
