Shelly M. Patel writes books about mysteries, suspense, thrillers, and children's books. Her first Children's book, Jake has Dyslexia, entered the reader's Choice award for 2021.She lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, three beautiful children, and their dog, Teddy.Before she started writing, Shelly got a master's degree in Clinical trials and Drug Development. After that, to shake things up, she received her Ph.D. in pharmacology-Clinical Research from Nova Southeastern University. She was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi-The nation's oldest and most selective multidisciplinary collegiate honor society. She writes part-time. When Secrets Kill is her debut novel.
