Since the age of two, Meryl has always had a passion for drawing and creating cartoons. Meryl's weekly trips to the library motivated her at a very young age. She was inspired by authors, illustrators, and film-makers and set upon a quest to create her own ideas. She wrote, illustrated, and self-published her first book at the age of ten years-old; her books were on display at the Inglewood Library in Inglewood, California and she was acknowledged by the Los Angeles Times in 2000 as part of the 100 Most Remarkable Kids and presented with a medal. In addition to illustrating and writing books, Meryl attended Comics 101 at West L. A. College and graduated from KAOS Network's Digital Arts Program. Meryl also attended the Art Institute of California - Inland Empire earning a Bachelor's degree in Media Arts and Animation. Meryl has illustrated and written seven children's books and desires to inspire youngsters so they can do the same thing. Her motto "Never give up on your dreams."
