Autorenporträt
Lali Gupta Chatterjee is a physicist and an author. Love of science and a strong commitment to expertise have been the driving forces behind a multi-dimensional, scientific career. Connecting physics with everyday life has been a passionate mission for Lali and continues to drive her explorations in the world of science-inspired fiction. Her books, talks, and teaching provide a connection between physics and people's own thoughts and lives, and thereby foster understanding of the relationship between physics and the surrounding culture. Lali's professional experience includes managing federal science programs in particle physics, computing, and broader computational science areas; building partnerships and collaborations; science communications and outreach; scientific publishing and editorial leadership; advanced research and teaching in particle/nuclear and related physics; and more than fifty scientific papers focused on particle/nuclear/muon physics and their intersections with astro/atomic/molecular physics. Lali's first science-inspired fiction was published in 1995 by Roli Books, with a foreword by Nobel Laureate Leon Lederman. Her second book, connecting people to sub atomic particles, was published in 2000 by Kendall Hunt Ltd.
