Autorenporträt

Andrea Sisson is an educator and experimental artist. She has delved into various mediums but continually return to painting. After working many years with struggling readers, she has a deep understanding of the impact of language development on literacy. Her first children's book is a culmination of experience as a reading specialist, artist, and traveler. The illustrations were inspired by frequent visits to the beautiful state of Montana; a magical place that inspired her to paint and helped her heal from cancer. It is her greatest hope that her work will help parents and/or teachers enjoy a shared literacy experience with children that allows time for imagination, deep reflection, and bonding.
