One regular Monday, Kira's oldest son, Vinny age 9, started feeling ill. After an ER visit and a doctor visit saying all was well, they found themselves in the pediatric ER with an unresponsive boy and the diagnosis of AML Leukemia. This book describes the 18 days spent in the PICU and the daily details of what happened up to the point of Vinny's passing and a mothers experience of that trauma. Written in a conversational tone, the first few chapters detail the diagnosis. The BEFORE section introduces the family, their history, and up to the point of Vinny's death. The AFTER section details a Mothers journey through Grief with God at her side. Throughout the story are moments when God reveals himself in various ways even during Vinny's passing. This book was written because Kira believes God did not give her this story to keep to herself. During her grief journey, she hoped to find someone who had come before her to say, you can survive this devastation. She hopes to be that voice for someone else. Surviving the loss of a child is unnatural but with Jesus at your side and a mind set on heaven, it can be endured.

The name of her company came to be from her time as a stay at home mom with a degree in art. Although an avid reader, her talents were used with paint and canvas. It wasn't until tragedy struck, that she turned her creative well towards the pen. Where God leads, Kira does her best to follow, even when the direction is outside of her comfort zone.
