Simple moments crackling with psychological complexity blend with a sophisticated narrative tone to create this poetry collection. Infusing energized, improvisatory fluency into each elongated work of prose, philosophical inquiries are given careful and precise scrutiny as they are grounded within real world examples. Don Coles explores his personal ideas about family, memories, and mortality with exciting and exposing examination. Visiting European haunts and literary mementos, each piece offers sharp observations with a contemplative, conversational style.
