Solène Anglaret was a little girl with big dreams. As she got older, they got bigger. And so appeared an odd feeling that she didn't quite belong where she was born. There had to be more to the world than the little town she was growing up in. Determined to find out, she was only 18 years old when she left the place she'd called home thus far. Her first stop was Norway, where she both studied and worked for a year. This extraordinary experience taught her countless life lessons and left her longing for more exploring and discoveries. She fell in love with the place and began to wonder whether it could be the 'home' she was looking for. That quest for where or what 'home' is never left her as she then went on to live in the United States, the United Kingdom and China. There, she worked for two large multinational companies and turned out to be a talented, driven and ambitious businesswoman. As time passed, she kept rising up the ranks. Each of her jobs was exciting at first but it took her very little time to figure out what they were about and start dreaming of new horizons instead. Having moved to Australia for love in October 2017, she finally decided to combine her passions for storytelling and living abroad. That is what brought her to launch her unique blog and to write this book, both underpinned by the idea of living beyond borders and everything that comes with it. Doing so, she hopes that her story and those of other world citizens will inspire more people to step out of their comfort zone and help her spread a message of tolerance, acceptance and peace.
