As a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise and a fitness enthusiast, Gwen Allman has inspired numerous transformations since beginning her weight loss journey. After receiving her exercise science certification from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, Gwen became a compassionate and outspoken advocate for exercise and nutrition education for the obese and morbidly obese client. She has worked diligently with the YMCA's Move to Lose program; taught on the importance of sound nutrition and exercise to participants in the American Diabetes Association's educational classes; developed individualized programs for countless clients who not only struggle with body image, but with emotional issues that are at the root of their overeating; all while enthusiastically supporting the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society with her donations and participation in their charity events. An ardent believer in the power of your words to transform your life, Gwen has garnered the trust and respect of clients and colleagues alike, who are inspired by her determination and zeal. "I'm not content with my own personal success if I can't duplicate that same success in the lives of the people around me." Through her Team Allman "Marathoners on a Mission" foundation and personal websites, Gwen has worked tirelessly to inspire others by openly sharing her personal stories of triumphs and defeat.
