Dr. David McCormick is the former CEO of Bridgewater Associates, an investment firm based in Westport, Connecticut that has more than $150 billion in assets under management. He joined Bridgewater in 2009 and was promoted to co-CEO in 2016 and CEO in 2020. After graduating from West Point in 1987, he trained to become an Army Ranger and joined the 82nd Airborne Division. He served as a combat officer during the liberation of Kuwait in the Gulf War of 1991. David's career has included a wide range of positions in business and government, including roles at McKinsey & Company, CEO and then President of two publicly traded software companies, the National Security Council, and the Department of Commerce.
