Ivory Leonard IV is originally from Ocala by way of Pensacola, Florida. After High School, he attended Florida A&M University where he studied Theatre Performance and concentrated in Dance. Upon completion of his undergraduate experience, he furthered his dance training at Philadanco.In recent years, he has toured with the North American premiere of Jurassic World: The Exhibition as a Lead Puppeteer, performed Internationally on tour, has produced and screened dance films in numerous festivals, and has worked full time in the Midwest doing Musical Theatre.Leonard is an Award- Winning Actor, Award- Winning Filmmaker, Creative Director, and Yoga Instructor. As recent CEO & Founder of Sankofa1619, this platform was devised in response to social inequities in an effort to: Reclaim our Past, Redefine how we are Defined, and Reconnect to our Truth. In an effort to make the world a better place, the Sankofa1619: Book Series is an extension of the work he desires to leave behind for a better future.
