Autorenporträt
Dr. Tracy Richardson is a Professor of Music Therapy and the Chairperson of the Music and Theatre Department at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC), and has taught at SMWC since 1995. Dr. Richardson is a board-certified music therapist with a doctorate in Counselor Education. She has worked with people with a variety of mental and physical health issues. She specializes in the use of clinical songwriting as a music therapy intervention with her clients and teaches other music therapists how to use clinical songwriting. In addition to her work at SMWC she implements music therapy for patients on the oncology unit of Union Hospital and consults with companies on teambuilding through music. Tracy Richardson is a singer/songwriter and keyboard player with three CDs to her credit. She has performed in bands and solo for over 30 years, opening for acts such as George Strait, John Conlee, Randy Travis, Keith Whitley, and Earl Thomas Conley. One of her original songs, In Parke County, has had radio airplay, while her Wabash River Song was placed on the TV show Gear Heads (MavTV). She is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and Songpreneurs (a Nashville-based songwriting community led by Grammy-award winning songwriter, Amanda C. Williams). Tracy continues to write, record, and perform regularly. Tracy is married to George and has three fabulous children, Savanna, Vanessa, and Collin. "Who Moved My Cape?!" is Tracy's first book and was written as a companion project to her 2019 CD "Superwoman Blues."
