Even as a six-year-old, Gabriela With knew she wanted to be a journalist. Inspired by a German radio programme about different nations and various people groups, she flew off into the distance with her magic carpet alongside the reporter and experienced the wonderful vastness of this foreign world. Abuse, manipulation, fears and life's lies shattered her dream. She worked as a payroll clerk. But throughout her life, the dream of the world of writing lay dormant in her. After a failed suicide attempt, she decided to start her life anew and fought her way out of the paths others had set for her. In 2011, she left her hometown, ventured out onto the sea of life, studied journalism and was richly blessed. The stories of this world became the colours of her life: beautiful, like every single person, multi-faceted, exciting, inspiring. A wonderful bouquet of diversity. And every day new blossoms are added.
