Originally from Higgins Lake, Michigan, Kama Mastromonaco graduated from Davenport University with a BA in business administration and marketing. For 25 years she worked in the hospitality industry, but currently works as a real estate agent as well as an airbrush tanning technician, owning her own business. The 2020 pandemic led Kama to writing this book after she realized the importance of providing modern-day heroes to children who only know fictional superheroes. She wants to introduce modern-day heroes by channeling her passion for art, writing, and creative design, as well as her love for children. It was written in memory of Gina Mastromonaco, Kama's twin sister, and her hero.Kama currently resides in Traverse City, where she enjoys spending time with family, including her seven nieces and nephews, along with close friends and their children. She loves casual and fine dining, shopping fast fashion, visiting with animals, traveling and exploring new areas, meeting new people, cooking, and creative writing.
