This work shall be of interest for various company divisions in charge of cost, quality, energy, environmental, and knowledge management. The interdisciplinary study cases allowed concluding that full integration of energy monitoring within an organisation and its business and production management is indispensable in the energy efficiency quest. The crucial role of supportive forces like energy-awareness culture, strategic significance assigned to investments in energy saving and benchmarking, is brought up.
