My name is Hamish De'Lamet. I am 17 years-old and go to high school in Lynchburg. You may have read about me and my girlfriend, Chandral Ramon. We were on the local news a couple of times, too. We discovered a stash of journals that chronicles a series of murders -- these handwritten pages were locked in a metal box that we found. We've tried going to the police, but they say there are no bodies, so there aren't any murders. Yet the description of what happened reads as true as a nun's confession. We have no idea when the journals were written, but Chandral and I are determined to make them available to the public. We started with a website blog, TimeCapsuleMurders.com, once we got a batch of pages transposed into the computer. We've been posting some of the entries into the Journals section of this website. Chandral's father is an attorney -- and he introduced us to this colleague of his who is a book agent. Thanks to him, we released the first story in book form, called "Why Begins With W." We just feel passionate about getting the word out. Chandral thinks that maybe the guy who wrote these journals might still be around. This is one way to find out! As for me, I'm pretty bored with school these days. I get straight A's without really trying. My teachers are encouraging me to stick with the journal transposing. And in the meantime, I gotta start thinking about what college I want to attend. Transcribing these journals has kind of raised my interest in writing -- sometimes I feel like I've actually written the journals myself. But, of course, I haven't -- because that would make me a murderer! Ha! I'm not a killer; you can ask anyone. I'm just a guy, waiting to get out of high school and go to college -- mostly so I can get out of this town!
