The book covers some of the main issues that affect the health of the elderly, such as chronic (cardiovascular and its complications) and communicable diseases, and the use of medication in this specific population. As well as describing natural morphological changes and possible interventions to maintain quality of life, such as strength training, which helps to maintain muscle mass, strengthen tendons and ligaments, and physical activity, which is very important to help with adequate sleep and other factors.

Ich bin Studentin an der Katholischen Universität Brasilia und studiere im fünften Semester Krankenpflege. Seit 2016, als ich mein Studium begann, bin ich Teil eines Forschungsprojekts mit dem Titel ¿Akute Auswirkungen von körperlicher Bewegung auf die Immunantwort und die Impfung gegen das Influenzavirus¿. Es war eine großartige Lernerfahrung und ich habe die Grundlage für mehrere Veröffentlichungen geschaffen.
