Wild Faith introduces creation care to older children and teenagers. These resources can be used with faith-based camp programs, youth groups, retreats, VBS programs, or Sunday morning programs. Background materials on the "basics" of teaching environmental stewardship and tips for adding creation care practices to existing programs are included.Wild Faith includes six modules of materials: -In the Beginning - introduces creation, nature-based spirituality, environmental stewardship, and wellness rooted in creation care-Into the Woods - gets children and youth comfortable with nature as a place of spirituality, creativity, and stewardship-The Habitat Chronicles - explores our place in the environment and the effects of our habitation on the earth and fellow human beings-Exodus Quest - a one day pilgrimage exploring personal roles in care of creation and a promised land of life in harmony with God's creation-Equipping The Saints - introduces practical skills, habits, and practices to exercise good stewardship of creation-A New Heaven, A New Earth - taking information, practices, and "good news" of creation care to others Each theme includes a worship service, a group activity, group discussion, and prayers. Badges are included at the end of these resources to promote on-going creation care, focusing on: -Green Spirituality -Food Sustainability-Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle-Sustainable Energy, and-Green Social JusticeAuthor Cynthia Coe is a 2014-2016 Environmental Stewardship Fellow of the Episcopal Church and an honors graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and the University of Tennessee College of Law.
