Estudei na Universidade Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina), onde me formei como biólogo e professor de Ciências Biológicas. Especializei-me em Etnobiologia, e esta publicação foi a minha primeira contribuição neste domínio. Trabalhei como professor no ensino secundário, mas atualmente dedico-me à educação ambiental em contextos não formais e à extensão universitária.
