Autorenporträt
John Hole has worked in theatre and in the entertainment business all his life. Having graduated from Balliol College, Oxford, in the early '60s, he originally studied theatre management at the Mermaid Theatre in the City of London, then, in 1967, he was appointed Theatre Director of the Swan Theatre, Worcester, which became a successful repertory house. From 1974, he then ran a similar programme when he opened the new Queens Theatre in Hornchurch, Essex. Subsequently for four years, he ran the Arts and Entertainments programme for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham where, for the first time, he began to work with many of the great London street performers. Following this, he started a new street performers' agency, Crowd Pullers, which, for 21 years, marketed these extremely talented acts and sent them all over the world. This is the fourth of his novels to be published. He is in his second marriage, has four children, three grandchildren and lives in Edinburgh.
