Autorenporträt
Lynette Hlongwane was born in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. She is a published author, professional speaker, international consultant and academic. Some of her poems appear in anthologies published in France, Austria and South Africa. Her memoir and collection of poems are available on all amazon websites. Lynette is a recipient of The British Council award, a scholarship from Columbia University, a grant from the United Nations, and two grants in the writing category, from the National Arts Council in South Africa. She has been commissioned by Oprah Winfrey for her "O" (South Africa) magazine. Lynette was educated at universities in South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States. She holds a Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University. She loves to write, read, travel, take long walks, dance and cook. The mother of three adult children divides her time between Canada and South Africa.
