ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Living in the suburbs of Houston, Texas, Jenn Morris has been happily married over 23+ years. With her husband, 'Los, they have two amazing daughters; Morgan is 22 years old & a senior at Texas State while Rachel is 19 years old & a freshman at UT Austin. The family has numerus pets and recently added the precious all black Willow Nyx kitty to the menagerie. Being a teacher & a tutor are rewarding careers for Jenn. She enjoys helping her tutoring students publish their own stories & create different types of art. Also, Jenn has helped her daughters write and publish books. Jenn has written and published her own stories. "Willow" is Jenn's first book completely drawn on the computer. She enjoys writing children's books, but she reads all types of genres in her spare time. In addition to writing, Jenn enjoys exploring different types of art. Jenn likes to do paper quilling, bleeding tissue art, watercolor ink art and drawing. She likes working with clay, foam, acrylics and watercolors, too. Jenn is part of a local group that paints rocks and puts them out on trails for others to find and enjoy. Putting together puzzles, cleaning and taking long bike rides are some of Jenn's favorite hobbies. She likes to work in the yard, but power washing is her favorite. Drinking coffee makes Jenn's world go around. She loves to attend church. Heights and snakes are her biggest fears. Jenn loves to volunteer at the local soup kitchen, with animals, with the elderly, homeless and of course, with children. She has received several awards for her many hours and dedication of serving others. Recently, with the help of two friends, Jenn started a scholarship endowment fund in Humble ISD. They named the scholarship The Dream Team. It focuses on high school seniors who have a dream to be all they can be in life and need encouragement with funding to be successful. The goal is for graduates to use the scholarship to pursue their dreams and make a difference in the world. She enjoys traveling with her family. They have been to Washington, D.C., Grand Canyon, California, Maine, Alaska, Florida and all the states in between. They have traveled to Canada, Mexico, Ireland, England, Scotland, Iceland, Turks & Caicos. Anyone who truly knows Jenn would say her biggest passions are taking pictures, education & her family. Her motto is to be the best person she can be today &be better than yesterday. Her favorite saying is "kiss your brain, because you are so smart."
