Autorenporträt
Letisha Arsi grew up in an artistic family with her musician mother and drawing father. As a child, Letisha's father influenced her love of drawing and creating lovable characters. Her passion for writing was fostered by The Chronicles of Narnia which caused such a surge of strong emotion in the reader. Later when she experienced bullying at school, a new series changed her perspective, A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. She drew strength from the Baudelaire family, as she could relate to their constant fight to overcome trouble.Hurricane Sandy hit Letisha's home in 2012 causing severe flooding. Supportive friends and family helped her family move and she learned there will always be kind people willing to help just like in her favorite book series. However, moving meant a new school where she again feared bullying, but due to a "zero tolerance" policy, she ended up making friends. In high school, Letisha began writing. What started as a class doodle became Wimbo the Magical Fairy Penguin. When her creative writing teacher assigned a book project, Letisha realized the true potential of Wimbo and wrote Wimbo Meets Mr. Nightmare. Her teachers and the students absolutely loved her story and told her it was worth publishing.
