A young man from the punk and drug scene in Frankfurt sets out on foot, walking almost 1000 miles from central Germany to the heart of Rome, to join the World Youth Day. Upon his return to Frankfurt, he becomes well known. They call him "Holy Olaf.¿

Arthur Pahl was born in Gladbeck, Germany and grew up in Würzburg, Germany. After an apprenticeship as a waiter, he completed his training for Hotel and Restaurant management in the Swiss Noble Restaurant trade, worked as a steward on an ocean liner, lived in Canada, Colombia, the USA and Brazil, was alternately a rice farmer, emerald dealer, taxi-driver, gravestone seller and stockbroker before he succeeded to steer back to his homeland of Germany, where he has since been working as a tour manager for international pilgrimage groups. On his journeys with pilgrims from all over the world, people told him of their lives, their fortunes and misfortunes, their worries and their destinies. Some were so unusual, they had to be told. That¿s how his first book Heavenly Paths came about. It was published under the German title: Verschlungene Wege in Germany, 2009. Six months later Himmlische Pfade was published. In April 2012 Gefühle brauchen Gefühle, Pahl¿s 3rd book was released and immediately translated into Portuguese, under the title:Sentimentos precisam de Sentimentos. 
Arthur Pahl has published 32 true stories in 3 books. His first book in English, Winding Paths of Life, was published in 2013. It entails 7 of his best stories translated from German to English. At the moment the author has dedicated himself to writing his first Novel. He lives between Frankfurt, Germany and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
