The dependence on mobile networks is a worldwide fact. The success and growing use of mobile networks became troublesome and annoying, especially in places where silence should be maintained such as mosques, university lecture rooms, libraries, concert halls, meeting rooms, etc. This project is a modest contribution to suggest a solution to this problem by using an intelligent jamming device capable of preventing cell phones which operate within a restricted area. This project gives an explanation of the concept of mobile jamming and explores jamming in two popular mobile networks: Global system for mobile communication (GSM) and digital cellular network (DCS). The intelligent jamming system is designed to block only the controller channel, also to operate only if there is an active mobile in a restricted area. The system of mobile jamming is analyzed and simulated using ¿MATLAB¿ software and a prototype will be implemented.

Muhammad Hassan Fares is a Ph.D. student under the co-supervision of Prof. Hadi Moradi from the University of Tehran and Prof. Yasser Mohanna from EDST. He is working on jammer systems, target localization in NLOS, Smart assistant systems for vehicle drivers, Robotics and navigation, Programming and design of UAVs and UGVs, etc.
