Nancy Oestreich Lurie's many books include Mountain Wolf Woman and, with coauthor Stuart Levine, The American Indian Today. She is curator emerita of anthropology at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Francis Paul Prucha, S.J., is professor emeritus of history at Marquette University and has authored many books, including The Great Father, and American Indian Policy in the Formative Year.
