Autorenporträt
R. Bruce Allison has been a professional arborist in Madison, Wisconsin, since 1974. His education includes a degree in writing from Brown University and a Master of Science in Forestry and Doctorate in Land Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served as president of the Wisconsin Arborist Association and chairman of both the Dane County Tree Board and Wisconsin Urban Forestry Council. He is the author of Every Root an Anchor: Wisconsin's Famous and Historic Trees (2005); Tree Walks of Dane County (1981); and Tree Walks of Milwaukee County (1982). His articles have appeared in the Wisconsin Academy Review, Wisconsin Alumni Magazine, Wisconsin Natural Resources Magazine, American Forests Magazine, Arborcultural Journal, and Shading Our Cities (Island Press, 1989).
