For anyone who has ever imagined what it was like to come of age in the World War II Era, this book gives you a bird's-eye view. Gwen MacKenzie, a small-town coed, becomes a reporter and her newspaper sends her on globe-trotting assignments. Simultaneously, she finds herself deeply involved with her friends and neighbors, the Sommers family. Three young members of the family are dragged into the frenzy of war and soon join the fight, leaving behind loved one who must patiently go on ... waiting and wondering. From the Philippines to London and from North Africa to Paris, the reader is transported back into time, where adventure, romance and even tragedy reign supreme. "With Hearts of Honor" is loosely based on the true story of a young man who survived the Bataan Death March, only to meet a surprising fate aboard a Japanese Hellship. Readers of this book will laugh and cry as they experience a family's hope, anguish and, ultimately, peace.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
