Ten-year-old Mitch leaves his seat on the train to use the toiletâ?¿ and never comes back. What happens next involves a dog with one blue eye, a Big Issue salesman who is not what he seems and a sinister man in the very same jacket that Mitch's big brother Nathan was given only 24 hours before. Wolf Jacket is a page-turner for young readers who don't scare easily and as a warning for anyone contemplating running away.

Autorenporträt
Vicki Johnson was the head teacher of an outstanding primary school for many years. Throughout her career, she wrote specifically for groups of children, adapting plots and characters to reflect their interests and devising scripts, musicals and stories to inspire, engage and challenge. She began writing thrillers for reluctant readers but which could also be read aloud and hold the attention of everyone in a class. With Wolf Jacket, even reluctant teenage boys have been known to read ahead. Married, with two grown-up children and four grandchildren, she lives in Exmouth, Devon.
