So researching music motivated us, because music is a social manifestation that represents its time, culture, uses and customs of a society that is sung and told through this art form. As a musical manifestation and cultural component of the Northeast of Brazil, forró has attributes of a Northeasternness that has been re-signified since the 1940s, as have the symbolic representations of women sung by this musical style. Thus, we look at the female gender and its corporeality enunciated in electronic forró and present in this book youth representations from the media reception of this northeasternly potent dance, music, party and culture.

Diplômé en éducation physique à l'UFPI. Spécialisé en supervision scolaire à l'UFRJ. Maîtrise en communication du PPGCOM/UFPI et doctorat en éducation de la PUCRS. Coordinateur sportif et scolaire à la FUNDESPI et professeur d'éducation physique au SEDUC-MA. Expérience en éducation physique scolaire et en coordination de projets sportifs et sociaux.
