The main objective of this book is to demonstrate the constitutional enforceability of the right to education. To this end, the historical-constitutional formation of the right to education will be presented, analysing the Constitution (1824) until the current one (1988). In this way, descriptive methodologies were used and, predominantly, the explanatory, based on knowledge of Constitutional Law, Theory of Rights, in addition to bibliographical and jurisprudential research. It begins with the history of the Brazilian Constitutions to then deal with the relationship between the principle of human dignity and the right to education and, finally, the limits to the full applicability of the right to education.
