Bonnie G. Smith is is a Board of Governor's professor at Rutgers University. Her books include Ladies of the Leisure Class (1981) and The Gender of History: Men, Women, and Historical Practice (2000). Her edited works include Global Feminisms since 1945 (2000) and, with Beth Hutchinson, Gendering Disability (2003). She is also a co-author of several editions of The Challenge of the West.
