She has been recognized for being one of the first African Americans to own an upscale store-front business located in the most prestigious area of downtown Washington, D.C., two blocks from the White House.In Karen's entrepreneurial spirit, she has successfully birthed and operates several businesses. She is the CEO & President of Vision & Purpose (V&P) Media Productions and Publications, V&P Community Magazine, Class Act Productions, Class Act Speakers Bureau, and Community & Business (C&B) Network Exchange. Her latest creation in themaking is the birth of her non-profit organization Greater Women of Influence Consciousness. Karen lends her expertise in the areas ofMedia Productions, Book Publishing, Business Development, Business & Purpose Coach, and Inspirational Speaker.Karen is best known for the work she does in the community, earning over forty proclamations and numerous awards, receiving an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters (DHL), and being a Licensed Minister. Karen and her Collaborative Partners during the COVID-19 Pandemic have led massive self-funded food drives, feeding over 9,700 people throughout the Washington Metropolitan area, including our frontline workers, essential workers, and the loving people of the community that found themselves in need due to the horrific devastation of the pandemic.
