BEASLEY is a professor emerita of journalism at the Eleanor Roosevelt: Transformative First Lady (2010) and First Ladies and the Press: The Unfinished Partnership of the Media Age (Northwestern, 2005). Beasley is a coauthor of Taking Their Place: A Documentary History of Women and Journalism (2002) and a coeditor of The Eleanor Roosevelt Encyclopedia (2000).
