Rounding out the section is the story of Mary Magdalene. Part five is ""Women Who Built a Church."" The three women in this section are Priscilla, Dorcas, and Lydia. Each woman had a character trait that defined the type of person she was. There is some narrative giving context to the trait emphasized in the chapter. These women were not perfect, struggled with sin, and suffered difficult circumstances, but they were also women of faith.

Renate Reiner is a missionary to Brazil with Baptist Mid-Missions. Throughout her thirty-five-year career she has taught biblical truth to children and adults. She currently works as a managing editor in developing children's Sunday school materials. She has two adult children and two young grandsons.
