Against this backdrop, we asked ourselves the following question: What is the life experience of women with cervical cancer that they can give to improve screening measures? Objective: To analyse the life message to increase cervical cancer screening of Mexican women in patients attending the Oncology Hospital of Morelia. Methodology: it was a study with a qualitative analysis approach with a phenomenological approach, which responds to particular issues and dominating the reality that cannot be quantified, it was given with the intention of understanding what women who suffered from cervical cancer experienced. Results: 4 protective factors were found: network support, personal strength, spiritual strength and medical treatment, as well as 2 empirical categories: conviction of well-being and community action from the Patiño-Moreno health model.
