Equality of accessibility of land rights for men and women is recognized under statutes of almost every nation. Accordingly, the Ethiopian land legislations recognize equality of the men and women in the utilization of land rights. Despite efforts by government since 1990's through designation of gender policies, incorporation of women rights to land under different legislation including FDRE Constitution to integrate women in developmental policies of country, the situation of women access to land right is not improved in rural Ethiopia. The women still do not have equal access to land rights with men. This concern is hardly studied by existing artistic works. Thus, in this work authors intend to examine the pattern of women's access to land rights in Southern Ethiopia. This book is organized into five parts. Part one and two address an introduction to the book and the theoretical foundation of women Access to land Rights respectively. Part three of the book addresses the legal framework governing women Access to land rights. Part four of the book deals with practical aspect of the women access to land Rights. The book is invaluable for stakeholders who work on gender and land.
