Victorian era was a long successful period in history of England. During the time, England underwent many changes and gained a lot of power. Novels flourished in Victorian time, and the writers tried to deal with the common problems of the society in their works. The main concern of this book is to focus on Victorian women, especially those who were in love. In Victorian era, women's role was limited at home. Women lived in such a male dominated society that even they believed that men are right and better than women. In this situation, there were some women who rebelled against all those limitations but they usually failed. Their failure was due to living in a patriarchal society. The situation was even harder for a woman who was in love, since love made her fragile. On the other hand the society considered her an outsider if they were going to show their love instead of being the subject of a man's love. In some of the novels of 19th century, women were represented as lovers who endured many hardships and in many cases they failed. The analysis in this book may help to shed a new light on women's love hardships and love failures in three Victorian novels.
