Gender discrimination on a labour market is a widely discussed problem. In my work I described gender relations on the labour market from a perspective of women who decided to enter into self-employment. I investigated the phenomenon of this form of employment in a few aspects. I focused on reasons why women decided to become self-employed, barriers they need to faced, benefits connected with being self-employed and relations between entrepreneurs. My main aim was to characterize the phenomenon of self- employment, to find out if it might change unequal access to economic power in the labour market and, as a result, in the whole social order.

Magdalena Momot (22-07-1986) ¿ In 2010 she graduated from AalborgUniversity (Culture, Communication and Globalization). She still study Applied Social Sciences andSlavic Studies at the University of Warsaw.She is interested in cultural aspects of gender inequality and gender relations in the market.
