The Blackiful Collective is a collective of Black neurodivergent artists who co-create Black social and aesthetic space at the Creativity Explored art studio and beyond. Through regular social gatherings (both virtual and in-person), workshops, exhibitions, and publications, Blackiful empowers its members to cultivate individual and collective self-determination. Current members include artists Adrianna Simeon, Alissa Bledsoe, Joseph “J.D.” Green, Joseph Omolayole, Laron Bickerstaff, and Vincent Jackson. d. Wright is interested in the limits of language. Through drawing, installation, and experiments in sound, d. explores what it is like, as subject, to be regarded as object. d. lives and works in Chicago, IL.
