This book shows the results of wood-plastic panels obtained from the mixture of Pinus caribaea sawdust with thermoplastic residues and chemical additives. This mixture made it possible to obtain a forest product that, due to its low porosity, its resistance to physical-mechanical properties, its fireproof properties and its low production cost, can become a strong competitor to the materials commonly used in the construction of elements for housing, buildings and packaging for both indoor and outdoor applications, replacing conventional boards and metals with great advantages against the effects of weathering and as a fire retardant.
