These are poems I culled from the many poems I wrote starting in the 1960's and continuing well into my sixth decade of life. My biggest influence I would have to say was Rod McKUEN who was, for me at least, a respite from the dull and tiresome poems I was forced to read in high school. Once I got comfortable with reading poems written in my own hand, the pleasure of reading poems by others, even some of those obligatory to read in high school became more palatable and even inspiring. born in anchorage, alaska. father in air force. we moved alot but was able to attend one high school. spent 20 years in navy. my wife and I have remained avid world travelers after my retirement. currently live in kodak, tn in east tennessee, foothills of the smokies. have 2 brothers both retired military: air force and army
