Clarke Hinds hails originally from Queens, New York. At the age of three, his family moved to Jamaica, where Hinds spent his formative years immersing himself in Jamaican culture. The family later relocated to the United States, where Hinds navigated his adolescent years, delving into the nuances of Black American culture. He pursued his college education at the State University of New York at Buffalo before embarking on an international career in education. Over nearly a decade, he traveled and worked in education and community development, successfully executing and facilitating in projects focused on sexual reproductive rights/health for school-aged girls in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and food security programs in Chongqing, China. In 2020, he obtained his master's degree in Educational Research from the Technical University of Munich in Munich, Germany.
