Jim Stovall has enjoyed success as an author, athlete, investment broker, and entrepreneur while dealing with the challenge of blindness. During his remarkable life, Jim has been a national champion Olympic weightlifter, as well as the author of more than 30 books. In addition to his personal achievements, Jim was honored as the 2000 International Humanitarian of the Year, joining Jimmy Carter, Nancy Reagan, and Mother Teresa as a recipient of this prestigious award. As co-founder and president of the Emmy Award-winning Narrative Television Network (NTN), Jim has also helped make movies and television accessible for America's 13 million blind and visually impaired people and their families. Kathy Johnson has been a prominent business writer for a number of years. She found great success in corporate America with positions of managerial responsibility and charge at various financial institutions developing and directing marketing programs, always maintaining a consistent focus on writing and scripting. Diversely, Kathy Johnson founded and developed several business-to-business magazines, including the deep-rooted regional magazine, BusinessWise, in Indiana, serving as owner and editor. She has edited books, magazines, and articles for various authors, including Jim Stovall. Kathy Johnson earned her Core Competency certification and became a Dale Carnegie instructor in its leadership management, relationship strengthening, and sales training courses. After completion of her academic novella, Seasons to Remember, Kathy earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of Evansville, Evansville, Indiana, and her master's degree in organizational management from Oakland City University in Oakland City, Indiana. Leaving corporate America, Kathy Johnson pursued her long-time passion for drama, suspense, and romance in her historical novel, Destination Alcatraz.
