Autorenporträt
Robert A. Tremmel is a Permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church. I have a B.S. degree in Chemistry and worked as a Research Chemist for over 50 years, authoring numerous patents and articles in the field of electroplating. After my ordination I continued my religious studies by pursuing a graduate degree in New Testament at St John's Provincial Seminary, Plymouth, Michigan and Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Detroit, Michigan. I have taught scripture on a parish and vicariate level for over 40 years and enjoy teaching a great deal. I have previously published two books, "The Four Gospels" and "Words to Live By" . "Words to Live By", a reflection on certain gospel passages, I believe, accomplished my goals. However, "The Four Gospels" did not accomplish what I hoped to achieve. I was too difficult for many of my readers and consequently was not the easy to understand book I had hoped it would be. My new book which I am submitting to you to publish, I believe will be more easily understood. It is definitely a scholarly work but is written to read like a novel. Seen through the eyes of an on- looker , Eleazar by name, the four Gospels come to life. Numerous footnotes guide the reader to a better understanding of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Eleazar, the Hebrew name for Lazarus, is a real person mentioned in the Gospel of John. Through him I can help the reader experience what it was like to walk with Jesus on his journey to the cross and beyond. I have been a Permanent Deacon for 40 years and am currently retired which is technically called "Senior Status". I am still active in my Church, teaching and preaching on occasion, administering the sacraments of marriage and baptism and presiding at wake services and funerals. I am married to my wife Robbie (55 years) and have three children and six grandchildren.
